Ways to Give: American Red Cross Financial Support

The South Central Minnesota Chapter of the American Red Cross is supported by the contributions of individuals, businesses, corporations and foundations in our community. Although chartered by the United States Congress to provide service to military service members and disaster victims, the American Red Cross is not a government agency.

Your financial contributions allow the South Central MN Chapter to continue serving the people of Blue Earth, Nicollet, Sibley, Cottonwood, McLeod, Watonwan and Faribault counties. Some of the uses for funding include, but are not limited to: responding to single family fires, opening shelters, teaching CPR and First Aid, swimming and water safety,youth classes, and collecting blood for community hospitals. The growth of our area has created many more demands upon the services and resources of the Red Cross. We depend on generous contributions from the community to continue meeting the needs and services requested.

There are many ways to invest in the South Central MN Chapter of the American Red Cross that will serve you and your community during your lifetime, as well as provide a continuing legacy for future generations.

Charitable gifts are a vital part of American culture and play an important role in the lives of many. Charitable gifts need not compete with other personal goals and they may, in fact, help you achieve personal planning priorities in ways you might not have thought possible. The staff at the South Central MN Chapter is available to consult with you or your advisors about how to include the Red Cross in your estate plan and other giving opportunities.

Contributions to the American Red Cross, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible for computing income and estate taxes.
